My parents competed in both the confirmation and obedience ring. I have been involved in the world of pure bred dogs in my own right for over 30 years.

I bought my first Bull Terrier in 1978, Dobermann in 1986 and I have continued with these breeds including Jack Russell Terriers, Fox Terrier (smooth), Lakeland Terrier and Afghan Hounds. Over the years I have exhibited, successfully bred and trained numerous dogs for myself and others.

I have been involved in the world of pure bred dogs for over 40 years. I have owned Rottweilers since 1967 and Shar Pei since 1992.

I have handled numerous Rottweilers and Shar Pei through to their titles along with an Akita an English Mastiff a Dogue de Bordeaux and currently campaigning our French Bulldog.

I have been involved in the dog world for over 30 years, firstly with Obedience and then with Agility. I have been involved with Agility for over 20 years, as a competitor for 15 years and recently as a Judge.  I own and compete with Australian Cattle Dogs.

Carmen  first became interested in gundogs generally and their working abilities quite a few years ago in Canberra..

Carmen came to Darwin for the second time early in 1974 (just in time to settle in before Cyclone Tracy) and shortly afterwards was asked to join the North Australian Canine Association. Carmen obtained her Retrieving Trial licence in the mid 80’s , followed by obedience a few years later and has been a Steward for the Royal Darwin Show for 35 years!. 

Carmen has served as a Councillor for NACA [now Dogs NT] for over 30 years and as President for 3 years is the NT national deligate  for RAFT.
