→ DOGSNT ELECTION BALLOT PAPERS

NOTE:  The Ballot papers for the 2024 Dogs NT elections were posted by the Returning Officer to all eligible Dogs NT members on 26 February 2024 and are due to be returned in the provided stamped envelope by 10 am Wednesday 3 April 2024.

There are three (3) ballot papers provided to each member, i.e. one for VICE PRESIDENT, one for SECRETARY and one for COUNCILLOR (3).

It is important that all details are completed on the back of the return envelope for the votes to be included. 
Your membership number has been included on the mailing label.

→ HOW TO VOTE: ELECTION OF OFFICERS OF DOGS NT COUNCIL 

Further DogsNT Rules for the Election of Officers of the Council can be found HERE >  DogsNT Rules – Section 1: Membership: 1.13

1.13.20 The method of voting shall be “cross” voting. In order to record a valid vote, an elector shall place a cross in the square opposite the name/s of the candidate/s of his/her choice.

(PLEASE NOTE: THE →BOLD  TEXT BELOW IS RELEVANT FOR THIS 2024 ELECTION.

1.13.21 Every Member resident in the Northern Territory and entitled to vote shall be entitled to cast votes as follows:
(a) One (1) vote for the Office of President. 
→  (b) One (1) vote for the Office of Vice-President.
→  (c) One (1) vote for the Office of Secretary.
(d) One (1) vote for the Office of Treasurer.
→  (e) One (1) vote for each Council Office.
→  (f) or such less number of votes in relation thereto as the voter may wish to cast.

1.13.22 The marked ballot paper shall then be placed in the envelopes provided, sealed, and sent by post so as to reach the Returning Officer on or before the date and time set for the close of the poll. The address of the Returning Officer shall be displayed on the front of the envelope and on the back, the elector’s name, address and membership number and signature.

1.13.23 An envelope shall be rejected if it does not contain the signature of the voter and the same membership number as that contained on the NACA roll.

All members please note ballot papers will be sent via postal mail.  It is anticipated these papers will be sent early March to provide enough time for them to be returned prior to the close-off date which is one week before the AGM on Wednesday 10 April 2024.

◊ DOGSNT 24 AGM CALL FOR NOMINATIONS:

 → Nominations are being called for the following positions:

♦  Vice President, Secretary and three (3x) Councillors.

♦ Nomination forms are to be in the hands of the Secretary no later than 5.00 PM WEDNESDAY 7 FEBRUARY 2024. 

♦ AGENDA ITEMS:  Business for inclusion on the Agenda must be in the hands of the Secretary no later than 5.00 PM WEDNESDAY 7 FEBRUARY 2024.
Agenda items are to state clearly the item to be discussed along with a short rationale on the item and must be moved and seconded by financial members of Dogs NT.
